Three Keys of Wholesale Golf Clubs

Being successful out of the sand depends on three things: correct setup, proper technique and consistent point of entry. You should use a sand wedge when playing short sand shots around the green. Wholesale golf clubs may vary from 55 to 58 degrees of loft with 8 to 12 degrees of bounce. I personally prefer a 58-degree sand wedge with 8 degrees of bounce. For the correct setup, I like to draw or visualize three lines in the sand, as shown in the photos above. Each line has a specific purpose. The line going from the target to the ball and then extending beyond the R11 Driver is called the target line. The line that is about 10 degrees open to the target line is the angle of our feet or toes. Then I draw a line perpendicular to the target line originating at the ball. This represents ball position, which should be off the left heel for righthanded golfers (photo below). Once you have the correct setup with the same amount of weight on each TaylorMade R11 Driver, the face of the club should be slightly open (photo at right). This puts loft on the ball and allows the back portion of the bottom of the club to bounce off the sand, as opposed to having the leading edge dig into the sand. The start of the backswing (see Swing Sequence photos below) should be straight back or slightly outside the target line. There is an immediate breaking of the hands as you start this motion, producing a more vertical swing which encourages the club to enter the sand about two inches behind the ball (this is the point of entry). What you are actually trying to do is to take as little sand as possible without contacting the TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons. Allow the sand to lift the ball from the bunker. (You can work on getting a consistent point of entry with the Point of Entry Drill described here.) As you make contact with the sand there should be a cupping of the left wrist. Let me explain "cupping." Assume you are wearing a watch on your left wrist and the face, as usual, is pointing outward. When contacting the sand on the forward swing, you should try to take the back of your left hand and move it towards your watch face, thereby creating wrinkles underneath your left wrist. This action is called "cupping of the wrist" and it is very necessary in producing quality sand shots. Since this motion prevents the club from closing, the ball is lifted in the air with backspin. These are the three most important things regarding sand play around the Burner 2.0 Irons. You don't have to be perfect to get out of a sand bunker, but you have enough of the basic principles to get started.

Now they've turned their attention again back to the original Burner irons, and made a number of functional and cosmetic changes that promote improvements in distance, accuracy, and appearance. The result is the new Burner 2.0 irons.

I've gained approximately 30 yards on each club, and my accuracy has improved tremendously! I only play occasionally, but with irons like these, I can keep pace with most of my peers who play three times as often. Highly recommended.

good shaft
They are weighted well, are forgiving on mishits, have a good shaft (stiff), and really get the ball in the air well even on a very flat hit. Now that the weather is warming up I cant wait to get out and play a few rounds with them

better with this one

Tinkering with that success was not without risk, but Brett Wahl, TaylorMade's senior director of product development for irons, says that the new Burner 2.0 irons are simply better than their predecessors for several reasons.

more consistant and easier

TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons are long, straight and worth every penny. I hit my 6,7, and 8 irons 160, 150, and 140 with my Nike CCI Irons. The 2.0 burners 6,7, and 8 were 170, 160, and 150. They are way more consistant and easier to hit.

refined vibration

The original Burner irons were developed in groups with the long irons, middle irons and short irons designed separately. TaylorMade have developed that concept further with the Burner 2.0 irons with each club designed individually to promote uniform distance gaps and delivering a feel and sound that satisfies with each shot. A refined vibration management system also develops the feel and sound of each club.

newly shaped

The TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 driver is newly shaped to deliver the benefit of Dual Crown Technology — designed to create a lower Centre of Gravity to promote a higher launch angle and lower spin-rate, the launch conditions that promote greater distance — but with a more conventional head shape.

Burner 2.0 iron
Every new Burner 2.0 iron has a different face thickness. The thinner the face, the more ball speed and distance the irons can produce, incredibly important in long irons.

I have been at a Taylormade Demoday yesterday and ordered my 5-PW with Steelshaft 85g and midsized grips right after. Your video made me considering these irons and i absolutely was enthused.

The TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons feature a very forgiving head design that looks better at address than the previous model. The head colour looks great behind the ball.

newly shaped

The thin face of these irons means the ball fairly flies off the face with a nice ball flight and plenty of distance. A nice looking club with a thin top edge and a new black finish, similar to the Callaway X-24 iron. There is plenty of choice at the moment for game improvement clubs, but the Taylormade Burner 2.0 irons are up there with the best. Give them a try today.

I went with the idea of test driving the MP58, Srixon Z-TX and maybe the Ping i15 however I bypassed the other’s and just asked for a Burner 2.0 4 and 7 iron and hit the range.

The 2.0 are a good improvement over the popular Burner 2009. The new black steel and chromed sole, along with the carbon fibered look in the cavity make this a much more attractive iron overall.

The TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons was not on the top of my shopping list. They are longer and it kept me away. I was playing with 10 year old Ping I-2 irons that were 1/2" short. I tried many irons and really loved the feel of the Mizuno Jpx 800 tour but the burners just went further.

To really see if TaylorMade’s claims held up, we took our set of Burner 2.0 Irons to our friends at Golf Manhattan (thanks guys) to run them through their shot analysis simulator. What we found was pretty impressive.

The TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons long irons have a considerable topline appearance at address though it thins in the mid irons, and even more so in the short irons.
